Twin Peaks Lodge and Hot Springs in Ouray, Colorado helps visitors relax with hot springs soaking and breathtaking Rocky Mountain views both day and night.
High Country Splendor
Surrounded by soaring mountains, the town of Ouray is known as the Switzerland of America. Twin Peaks Lodge, named for a pair of crags to west, features Swiss chalet-style architecture that appears to have been conjured straight from the Alps. In summer, the alpine image is further enhanced as colorful blooms tumble from flowerpots, hanging baskets and over a balcony that greets visitors with a friendly “Welcome” sign in scrolly Gothic lettering.
Hot Spring Charms
Aside from its old-world appeal, Twin Peaks Lodge is a favorite destination in Ouray because of its three hot spring pools. Overnight guests are encouraged to enjoy soaking at all hours of the day and night, with children welcome from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. When the property’s outdoor lights are extinguished at 10 p.m., the brilliant illumination of the night sky takes over, to the delight of stargazing guests.
Twin Peaks’ swimming pool is the largest of three, with a year-round temperature between 95° – 100°F (35°-38°C). Even on the coldest days, the warm water is ideal for comfortable soaking. For a hit of heat, there’s a small outdoor soaking tub with a waterfall that’s a toasty 110°F (43°C). The indoor soaking pool is an adult-only refuge; it features a pebble-bottom, bubble jets and is the hottest of the three at 112°F (44°C).
Soaking Up the Spa Life
The Sage Spa offers guests more ways to relax, with a menu of spa services that include massage, masques, scrubs, facials and nail services. The Couple’s Retreat, which includes snacks and refreshments, as well as the Essential Massage, which features essential oils, are two of the most popular treatments.
Rooms with a View and More
From family suites to pet-friendly rooms, Twin Peaks Lodge accommodations are comfortable and welcoming. Every stay includes breakfast, as well as snacks and beverages in the lobby. Stop in anytime from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. for complimentary coffee or hot chocolate and a bag of fresh popcorn. For something more substantial, gather for a meal at the Mineshaft Restaurant or enjoy food and drinks delivered poolside. In the summer season, the Tikki Bar serves cold refreshments and cocktails.
Outdoor Pursuits
